Marketing on the internet is becoming the marketing method of choice by many Network Marketers today. While marketing on the internet can be extremely profitable when done correctly, many Network Marketers quickly become discouraged because they feel they lack technical knowledge. With so many new terms to learn and different options available, internet network marketing can quickly become overwhelming!
One of the first things you should decide on when creating your internet network marketing plan is whether to use a website, blog, or lead capture page. What is the difference between them and which one is best? Well, that depends on your goals. Although you will probably eventually use all three, each has benefits you should consider when choosing where to start.
A website is generally stays the same over time. If you choose to use a website, you generally spend more time creating it initially than you would a blog, but after you have finished with the creation you will not spend as much time updating it. Websites are good for presenting information that will not change much over time. If your focus is on selling a product or promoting a Network Marketing company, a website might be a good option for you. Just make sure you are using your own website in addition to any generic company-sponsored websites that you may have.
The term blog is short for weblog. A blog is a type of website that has regular updates and entries. With many different templates and options for changing the look of your blog, you can customize it to make it appropriate for the audience you are targeting. One of the benefits of using a blog for your Internet Network Marketing endeavor is the fact that it is interactive. Your readers can leave comments, and a discussion can take place, allowing you to build relationships with your readers. Since building relationships is key in Network Marketing, a blog is the tool of choice for many online Network Marketers.
A capture page (often called a squeeze page or splash page) has one purpose: to collect a person’s information. They can enter their name and e-mail address (or any other information you wish to collect), giving you permission to contact them. In order to get a high opt-in rate on a lead capture page, you need to have a give-away that your target market will find valuable (they’re giving you their contact info after all). A lead capture page allows you to do two key things: 1) build a relationship with those who opt in to your list through your e-mail marketing, and 2) allows you to add additional streams of income through offering affiliate products to those on your list.
